Fred R. Ives

​Fred R. Ives, 85, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Greenview Regional Hospital.  The Bowling Green, KY native was a former employee of the Scottsville Post Office and Public Assistance office, owner and operator of Fred's Fix-It Shop and member of Mt. Union General Baptist Church where he served as deacon.  He was a son of the late B. L. Ives and Barbara Allen Collins Ives. 

He is survived by his wife:  Norma Valoise Ives, Scottsville, KY; 

​1 son:  Howard Ives and wife, Sherry, White House, TN; 

1 daughter:  Mary Ann Brown and husband, Danny, Scottsville, KY; 

​4 grandchildren:  Joseph Brown and wife, DeLynda; Laurie Brown; Seth Ives and wife, Courtney; Sara Daniell and husband, Shawn; 

​5 great grandchildren:  Charles, Daniel, Benjamin, Katherine and Josiah. 

​He was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Geneva Ives and 4 brothers:  William Amos Ives, James Leslie Ives, John Wilbur Ives and Owen Allen Ives. 

​Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Gus Gregory and Bro. Joseph Brown officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bible Of The Month Club.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
