Cecil J. Minix, 75, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Kentucky State Highway Department, a Viet Nam U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church where he was former trustee, an avid U.K. fan and loved rabbit hunting, croquet and golfing. He was a son of the late Daniel Webster Minix and Jeretta Cornwell Minix.
He is survived by his wife: Anita Douglas Minix, Scottsville, KY;
2 sons: Ricky Joe Minix and wife, Jennifer and Randy Brian Minix, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Tonda Witt and husband, Kevin, Scottsville, KY;
2 grandchildren: Ashley Long and husband, William and Makenzie Minix and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son: Timothy Alan Minix; 1 brother: Glen Minix and 1 sister: Betty Jo Perkins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M.Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Tabor, Bro. Donald Key, Bro. Kimble Willoughby and Bro. Pat Cline officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Shady Grove Cemetery Fund. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
