Carol S. Sikes Carver, 72, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, former employee of Potter Brumfield and General Electric, member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and loved fishing and spending time in the Smoky Mountains. She was a daughter of the late Bro. Harold M. "Pepper" Sikes and Lelah May Chandler Sikes.
She is survived by her husband: Bro. Richard E. Carver, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Richard Thomas "Ricky" Carver, Gallatin, TN;
A granddaughter: Emma Elizabeth Carver and her mother, Amberlee Minix, both of Scottsville, KY;
A special cousin: Cheryl Gibbs, Scottsville, KY;
5 brothers-in-law: Willie Earl Carver (Jeanette); David Carver (Karen); James Earl Carver; Roger Carver (June); Gary Carver (Charlotte), all of Scottsville, KY.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Jeannette Fay "Nettie" Sikes.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Horton officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 8:00 a.m. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
