Brenda (Whitaker) Lane

Brenda Whitaker Lane, 79, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.  The Rockport, MA native was a retired office coordinator for the Religion Department of Western Kentucky University, former missionary and member of New Life Free Methodist Church.  She was the daughter of the late Harold Kenneth Whitaker and Sylvia Irene Wertanen Whitaker and wife of the late Dr. William L. Lane. 

She is survived by 3 daughters:  Sandra Lane Covey and husband, Roy Gene, Silverdale, WA; Diane Robin Crowell, Scottsville, KY; Debra Lane Gensheimer and husband, Jerry, Bowling Green, KY; 

2 brothers:  Stephen Whitaker and wife, Annie, FL and Dr. Jeffrey Wendall Whitaker and wife, Julie, NH; 

6 grandchildren:  Diana Fuller and husband, Josh; Stephen Covey; Dawn Melikant and partner, Kyle Crawford; Kate Collins and husband, Patrick; Julia Gensheimer and Ryan Gensheimer; 

5 great grandchildren:  Amaya, Greysyn, Berlin, Korrigan and Cherie. 

There will be no visitation or funeral service.
