Arthur E. "Art" Railey, Jr.

Arthur E. "Art" Railey, Jr.,  83, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former dealer for Clark Oil, former employee of Jr. Foods and York and Massey, retired employee of General Electric and A. O. Smith, member of Beech Grove General Baptist Church and attends East Willow Church of God.  He was a son of the late Arthur Euclid Railey, Sr. and Etter Earline Pruitt Railey. 

He is survived by his wife:  Mary Railey, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sons:  Michael Steven Railey and wife, Kristine, Hendersonville, TN and Stacy L. Railey, Scottsville, KY; 

4 daughters:  Debra Alexander and husband, Mike, Oregon; Patricia Joyce Railey, Clarksville, TN; Rosemary Pelky, Traverse City, Michigan; Joanna Ricker and husband, John, Jacksonville, NC; 

1 son-in-law:  Jimmy Kinslow, Glasgow, KY; 

3 sisters:  Dorothy Buckley and husband, Ray, and Barbara Douglas and husband, N.S., all of Scottsville, KY; Janetta Carver and husband, Bro. Johnny, Westmoreland, TN; 

16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by 1 son:  Joseph (Joey) Railey; 1 daughter:  Teresa Darlene Railey Kinslow; 1 sister:  Betty Lou Railey; 2 half brothers:  Louie Edward Railey and Fred Railey; 2 half sisters:  Irene Railey Lewis and Vada Leath Scott. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 12 noon Saturday.
