Ann Cox Alexander, 92, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, former employee of Wayne Dunn Chevrolet, former merchandiser for American Greeting Cards, retired employee of Kirsch Company, avid bingo player, past member of the B & P W and member of Mt. Union United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Cox and Nina Matilda Hillis Cox and wife of the late Obal B. "Sam" Alexander.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Gail A. Herrington and husband, Danny, Scottsville, KY;
2 sisters-in-law: Betty Pelle, Jacksonville, FL and Louise Cox, Lawtey, FL;
2 grandsons: Richard Herrington and fiance', Lisa Davis and Andrew Herrington and wife, Heather;
1 great grandson: Zachary Herrington;
1 niece and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Glen "Buzz" Cox, Bobby Cox and W. G. "Toby" Cox; 2 sisters: Mona Leahy and Nancy "Hank" Claiborne.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Pruitt officiating and burial in Mt. Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and after 7:00 am til funeral time Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Methodist Children's Home or the charity of your choice.
