Scott Rayburn Obituary

Scott Rayburn, 58, of Portland, TN passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Scott was born in Tampa, FL to the late Samuel Russell Rayburn and Barbara Jean Spencer Rayburn, who survives.  He was a former employee of Newton Nissan in Gallatin, TN, Hippedrome and Jim Johnson Nissan and a member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church.  

 

He is survived by 2 daughters:  Brandy Rayburn Murley and husband, Jeremy, Scottsville, KY and Lily Rayburn, Bowling Green, KY; 

His fiancee':  Linda Munday, Portland, TN; 

His mother:  Barbara Spencer Rayburn, Scottsville, KY; 

3 brothers:  David Humphrey and wife, Jenna, and Bruce Humphrey, all of Scottsville, KY; Frank Rayburn, Clarksville, TN; 

3 nieces:  Haley Payne (Christian), Sarah Rayburn and Crystal Rayburn; 

1 nephew:  Huston Humphrey; 

Several great nieces and great nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Tony Humphrey. 

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Cedar Cross Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
