Jeff Workman Obituary

Jeff Workman, 59, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his residence.  Jeff was born in Rantoul, IL and graduated in 1982 from Mona Shores High School in Muskegon, Michigan.  He joined the U. S. Army on May 10, 1983 where he served for over 10 years and later attended Elizabethtown State Vocational School in Elizabethtown, KY.  Jeff's most important and rewarding part of life was spending quality time with his son, Blade.  Jeff was a very proud, devoted and interactive father in all aspects of Blade's life, never missing a game or practice of any type.  He enjoyed spending weekends with him, rooting on Nashville's Professional Soccer Club.  Recently, he traveled with Blade touring numerous colleges to attend after his graduation this year.

Jeff was the instrumental driving force behind bringing the entire soccer program to Scottsville, KY.  He began coaching his son, Blade, at a young age and others in the CORE program.  He then went on to be head coach at James E. Bazzell Middle School in Scottsville, where he currently held that title.  Jeff's passion for coaching inspired his son to also love the sport, which he plans to continue after graduation.  His former players respected and admired his caring and encouraging manner.  He definitely made lots of loving and lasting relationships with his players, their families, his assistants and others he coached with and against.

Second to Blade and soccer, Jeff's long-time passion in life was competitively racing motorcycles and was a member of the American Motorcycle Racing Association.  His expertise in this sport allowed him to compete in numerous states throughout the country, bringing home countless awards and First place trophies.
