My condolences to Rick and Mr. LC's family. I am so glad to have met him during my life in Scottsville as well as with Dollar General. He was an honorable man and no, he never met a stranger nor denied anyone help if he was able to give it.

A man who stood out among men. I know how much Mr. Turner loved and respected him.

My God walk with each day as you cherish the memories left by your parents and grandparents.

Respectfully, Iretta

Bro. Rick & Family, I terribly sorry for your loss. My very sincerest condolences to all of you. I count it an honor to have met your father a few months ago at church. I was proud to read of his accomplishments and his history of serving our country. I rejoice with you in God's sweet promise of eternal life. Sadly, Chad Shockley/Efrain & Rosa

My sincere condolences to Rick, Saundra and the entire family in the passing of Mr. Starks. He was a much respected and well-liked member of our community for as long as I can remember. I kid them a lot, but I always said the joining of Rick & Saundra was the bringing together of two of the most popualr and respected families in Scottsville. I was a teammate of Rick's on the basketball team at Scottsville High School for several years. We've been friends for about fifty years. And, I graduated from SHS with Saundra. (Of course, Rick "married up" by marrying a member of the SHS Class of 1965. Sorry, couldn't resist.) Mr. Starks will be missed and long-remembered by his many relatives and friends. I also love the song, What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. I have it "saved" on my computer and play it often. Now, I'll always think of L. C. when I hear it. --Kit Hancock

To the Rick Starks Family,

You may have heard a hundred times from many loved ones and friends that you are in their prayers, but we want you to know that we have been where you are and you are in our prayers also.

As we read your Dad's accomplishments, we were so grateful to read of his love for Jesus, family, country, and friends. Mr. L. C. certainly had his priorities in order.

So GOD gently lifted Mr. L. C. and put him in His beautiful bouquet. So family we encourage you to keep looking up to where ALL of your help comes from. Yes, Jesus will see you through.

We love you and praying much for you.
