Travis Reed "Rab" Wheet, 83, of Adolphus, Ky died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his residence.  The Fountain Run, Ky native was a former farmer and landscaper. He was a son of the late Willie James Wheet and Myrtie Mae Wilkerson Wheet.

He is survived by 1 son: Keith Allen Wheet and wife, Elizabeth, Durham, N.C.;

2 daughters: Linda Sue Williamson and husband, Steve, Tx and Cheri Gail Beasley and husband, Troy, Champaign, Il;

3 sisters: Burnell Wheet and Brenda Bell and husband, Webb, all of Adolphus, Ky; Glennis Scott, Westmoreland, Tn;

10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1 son: Travis Wayne Wheet; 2 brothers: Curtis "Speedy" Wheet and W.J. Wheet, Jr. and 1 sister: Barbara Pruitt; 2 half brothers:  Roy Wheet and Melvin Wheet; 4 half sisters:  Estelle Anderson, Agnes Todd, Ethel Lawrence and Donnie Patterson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Williams and Bro. Larry Emery officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until funeral time Sunday at Goad Funeral Home.
